Vickram Kapadia has been an actor, director and writer in the world of theatre, television and cinema for almost three decades. He formed his own theatre group, Masque, in 1987 and has directed a number of plays under its banner including Shakespeare's Romeo and Juliet and Girish Karnad's Tughlaq. In 1992 he was invited by the NCPA to co direct Shakespeare's Julius Caesar with the legendary Naseeruddin Shah and a mammoth cast of seventy actors on stage. In 2002 he wrote his first full 2 act play Black With Equal, which ran for over six years and is now being written as a screenplay for a Hindi film. It has been honored by the Sahitya Akademi and was published about six years ago. Vickram has played lead roles on TV in K Street Pali Hill, Naya Zamana and Kavyanjali among others and has written the story and screenplay for two TV serials for Yash Raj Films, Kismat and Khotey Sikkey. He has played stellar roles in two international films, Rebecca Ryman Wer Liebe Verspricht and A Decent Arrangement which premiered at the TriBeCa Arts Festival in New York on 8th May 2011.
