Vidaarth is a Tamil film actor who became a household name with the 2010 blockbuster Mynaa. As a preparation, he joined Koothu-P-Pattarai, a Chennai-based celebrated theatre group where he learned the nuances and fundamentals of acting. He made his debut with a very brief role in Gautham Vasudev Menon`s Minnale (2001). His first breakthrough role was as an antagonist in Thiruvannamalai (2008). He won the Vijay Award for Best Male Debutant in 2010 for his performance in Mynaa. Vidaarth played the lead in AVM Productions` 175th film Mudhal Idam (2011). His other significant work includes Kollaikaran (2012), Jannal Oram (2013), Veeram (2014), Kuttrame Thandanai (2016), Magalir Mattum, Vizhithiru (2017). His 2018 release includes Vandi. His 2019 release includes Chithiram Pesuthadi 2, directed by Rajjan Madhav.
