Vijay Menon is an Indian actor, writer, director and editor who is popular for his work in the Malayalam film industry. Vijay began his acting career in 1983 with the Tamil movie Kan Sivanthal Man Sivakkum and in the same year starred in the Malayalam movie Rachana. He has since then primarily essayed supporting roles in movies such as Varusham 16 (1989), The King (1995), Pathram (1999), Nadiya Kollappetta Rathri (2007), Violin (2011), Mithram (2014), and Murugavel (2016).

In 1986, Vijay made his directorial debut with the movie Nilavinte Nattil. He also wrote and edited the movie. Three decades later, in 2017, Vijay wrote and directed his second movie Vilakkumaram starring Bhavana Menon, Anjali Aneesh Upasana, Neena Kurup, and Suraj Venjaramoodu. In 2018, he appeared alongside Nivin Pauly and Trishi Krishnan in Shyamprasad's Malayalam drama Hey Jude.
