Vijaya Nirmala is an Indian female actor, as well as director and producer, who worked in Telugu movies. She entered the film industry at the age of seven as a child artist in Panduranga Mahatyam (1957). Vijaya Nirmala debuted in the film Rangula Ratnam (1966) in the lead role. She later appeared in several Malayalam and Tamil movies. Vijaya Nirmala marked her directorial debut with the film Meena (1971). She last appeared in the 1989 Telugu film Pinni. In 2008, Vijaya Nirmala won the Raghupathi Venkaiah Award for her contributions to the Telugu film industry.
