Viji was a popular Tamil film actress, who acted over 40 films in Tamil. She made her debut in the film named Kozhi Koovuthu. Then she frequently appeared in several Tamil films. In 1996 when she was in film shooting, she got a pain in her spinal cord, hence she admitted in the hospital. In 2000 she committed suicide due to love failure and her last film was Simmasanam.
