Vikram Kapadia founded Masque, now rebranded Water Lily, in 1987, having produced several plays under its banner, including Tughlaq, Romeo and Juliet, The Merchant of Venice and Going Solo (collaboration). He is an actor, director, screenwriter and playwright.

His self-written play, The Greatest Show On Earth, premiered at the Prithvi Festival 2002 and John Logan`s Red (also produced by Water Lily) premiered at the Prithvi Festival 2023. His first 2 Act play as a playwright, Black With Equal, ran to full houses for many years all over the country. It also premiered in Sydney, Australia on 2nd July 2022 under the auspices of Natak Manadali.

Vikram`s screen performances include Force 2, Bombay Talkies, Aamras, The Archies, The Night Manager, Mumbai Diaries, Made in Heaven 2, Kalank, Baazaar, Scam 1992 and Kapoor & Sons.

His international films, as an actor, include Rebecca Ryman Wer Liebe Verspricht (2007) and A Decent Arrangement (premiered on 8th May 2011 at the Arts Festival New York).

Prior to that he has played lead roles in Television and Theatre and has penned Television screenplays for Yash Raj Films.
