Vinod Sukumaran is an Indian film editor and film maker, who is known for his work in the Malayalam film industry. He won the Best Director Award in the National Film Award for Best First Non-Feature Film for the film Diary of a Housewife (2001). He holds a master`s diploma in Filmmaking from Film and Television Institute of India. He has worked with well-known theatre artists like Alakananda Samarth and B.V. Karanth. Vinod assisted Renu Saluja in editing movies like Papa Kehte Hain (1996), Is Raat Ki Subah Nahin (1996) and Pardes (1997). Vinod made his debut as an editor with director Shyamaprasad`s Akale (2004). Over the years he has worked on movies like Daivanamathil (2005), Ore Kadal (2007), Ritu (2009), Hello Zindagi (2010), T.D. Dasan Std: VI. B (2010), Elektra (2010), Chandrayaan (2010), Arike (2012), Ivan Megharoopan (2012) and Haram (2015). Vinod also made his directorial debut with Haram. In 2017 he worked as the editor on director Venu Gopan`s movie, Sarvopari Palakkaran.
