Vishakha Singh is an Indian actor, producer, and part-time venture capitalist.
Vishakha, who wanted to become a teacher, is a business graduate and completed her post graduation in advertising and public relations. It was in 2007 that Vishakha began her career in modeling and after several TV and print commercials, she got her first break in the Telugu movie Gnaapakam (2008). The movie, however, failed at the box office and she subsequently starred in South Indian movies such Pidichirukku
(2008), Housefull (2009), and Antharathma (2010).
Although the actress made her Bollywood debut in 2008 with the movie Humsey Hai Jahaan
, she received wide recognition only in 2010 with Ashutosh Gowarikar's Khelein Hum Jee Jaan Sey. Following which she appeared in movies such as Ankur Arora Murder Case (2013), Fukrey
(2013), Motorcycle Diaries (2014, Malayalam debut), Bayam Oru Payanam (2016). In 2017, she starred in the movie Fukrey Returns
, a sequel to the 2013 film Fukrey.
Vishakha also works as a part-time venture capitalist in her father Jitendra Singh's London and Dubai-based company. In 2012, she also ventured into production and has produced movies such as Peddlers and Haramkhor (2017).
A frequent figure on the Red Carpet at the Cannes Film Festival, Vishakha was also a part of the producers workshop at the 2014 Cannes Film Festival. Additionally, in 2015, she was a part of the jury of one of Rome's biggest film festivals Rome Independent Film Festival (RIFF).
