Visu is a director, writer, actor and a talk show host. He learned his directorial talents under the guidance of legendary director K. Balachander. He made his directorial and acting debut with the film Kudumbam Oru Kadambam. His show ‘Makkal Arangam’ aired on Jaya TV is a popular talk show among masses. He received Tamil Nadu State Film Award for Best Story Writer for Varavu Nalla Uravu in 1990 and National Film Award for Best Film on Other Social Issues for Neenga Nalla Irukkanum in 1992.
