Filmmaker Vittal Bhat started his showbiz journey as a programming director on popular channels like ETV Kannada and Suvarna TV, where he co-ordinated and scripted several reality shows. Subsequently, Bhat made his directorial debut with the romantic drama Preethi Kithabu in 2016.

In 2019, Bhat made his sophomore outing as a director with the Kannada film Hangover, which starred Bharath and Mahati Bhikshu in central roles.
