Vivek Asthana started his career composing music for low budget projects and serials. He also had a short stint with Shyam Benegal's unit. Things took a turn as he was roped in for an Indo-western fusion film, by Pan Nalin who has films like Samsara to his credit. Vivek has worked with Rajesh Roshan for this project as it is supposed to be his entry into mainstream music. Prior to this, he composed music for Bhojpuri films Dil Tohra Pyar Me Pagal Ho Gayil, Namami Ramam and Sab Tirath Me Paavan Shirdi before composing the music for Parakh Natyanchi.
