Perhaps India`s youngest music directing duo, Vivek Siva and Mervin Solomon are known for their work in the Tamil film industry. While Siva is a classically trained musician, Solomon composed music for albums in the gospel and classical genre. They were initially part of the music band Zinx. Anirudh Ravichander completed the band before he found his calling as a music director. Vivek and Mervin still work with Anirudh as music programmers and mix engineers on all his projects. They made their debut as music directors with Vadacurry in 2013, when Yuvan Shankar Raja opted out and Anirudh suggested their name to the producers of the movie. The music was a huge hit with the audience. Since then Vivek and Mervin have worked on movies like Pugazh (2016) and Dora (2017). In 2018 they served as music directors on S. Kalyan`s action-comedy, Gulebakavali and Ramana Madhesh horror thriller, Mohini. Their 2020 release includes Pattas. Their 2021 project includes Sulthan, an action-drama film directed by Bakkiyaraj Kannan.
