Born to a famous theatre actor Adolf Ilin, Vladimir Ilin is a Russian actor who made his acting debut as a child artist in 1967. But it wasn`t until the 1983 movie Tsena vozvrata, that he got his first credited role. Since then Ilin has acted in movies like Moy lyubimyy kloun (1987), Defence Counsel Sedov (1988), Blagorodnyy razboynik Vladimir Dubrovskiy (1989), Pokhorony Stalina (1990), Menyaly (1992), Na tebya upovayu (1992), Ankor, eshchyo ankor! (1993), Wandering Sagittarius (1993), Burnt by the Sun (1994), Musulmanin (1995), The Barber of Siberia (1998), Turetskiy gambit (2005), Ivanov (2010), Vysotsky: Thank God I`m Alive (2011), Iron Ivan (2014), Spacewalk (2017) and Anna Karenina Vronskys Story (2017). In 1999 Ilin was awarded the People`s Artist of Russia.
