Walter Matthau was an American actor, who had worked on over 100 projects. He is best known for his work in The Odd Couple, Charade, Grumpy Old Men, and The Taking of Pelham series. He won an Oscar for Best Actor in a Supporting Role for The Fortune Cookie. He also won a Golden Globe Award , a BAFTA Film Award and a Golden Laurel Award. Matthau died on July 1, 2000, in Santa Monica, California, USA.
