Whitney Cummings is an American stand-up comedian, writer and actress who is known for creating the NBC sitcom Whitney (2011-2013) and the CBS show 2 Broke Girls (2011- ). She made her acting debut in the mystery/thriller, EMR (2004). The movie was directed by James Erskine and Danny McCullough. She has minor roles in movies like 7-10 Split (2007), Grizzly Park (2008), Made of Honor (2008), 3, 2, 1... Frankie Go Boom (2012), The Wedding Ringer (2015) and The Ridiculous 6 (2015). Cummins has also acted in TV shows like Half & Half (2002-2006), What About Brian (2006-2007), Tell Me You Love Me (2007), The Tony Rock Project (2008-2009), Maron (2013- ) and Undateable (2014-2016). She played the titular character in Whitney (2011-2013), a show created by her. Cummings also co-created 2 Broke Girls (2011- ) with Michael Patrick King.
