William Holmes (Holmes)(deceased) was an American film editor. Holmes various film credits include The Aviator(1929), The Life of the Party(1930), Manhattan Parade(1931) and I Am a Fugitive from a Chain Gang(1932). Holmes career winning film was Sergeant York(1941) which earned him an Oscar for Best Film Editing. Holmes died at the age of 74.
