Yamuna is an Indian film actress, who is known for her work in the South Indian film industry. She made her debut in K. Balachander's Tamil movie, Manathil Uruthi Vendum (1987). Yamuna, who was born as Prema, was re-christened as Yamuna for the movie by K. Balachander. Her acting credits include movies like Yerra Mandaram (1991), Mamagaru (1991), Soori Gadu (1992), Govindha Govindha (1993), Brahmachari Mogudu (1994), Bangaru Kutumbam (1994), Sri Manjunatha (2001) and Dil Rangeela (2014). In 2017 Yamuna starred in Jadesh Kumar Hampi's Rajahamsa. The movie has Gowrishikhar and Ranjani Raghavan in the lead roles.
