An alumnus of the London Film School, Yiannis Manolopoulous started out in cinema by working as a camera operator in British films like Gone too Far (2013) and Ten Pieces (2014). In 2015, he debuted as an independent cinematographer with the Afghani drama film Utopia, for which he filmed the segments in Scotland. Three years later, the up-and-coming cinematographer ventured into Indian cinema through the romantic comedy Namaste England (2018), which was directed by Vipul Shah and starred Arjun Kapoor and Parineeti Chopra in the central roles.
