Yogaraj Bhat is an Indian film director, lyricist, producer and screenwriter who is noted for his work in Kannada cinema. Having started his career in the entertainment industry as the screenwriter and director for the TV series Chakra (2001), Yogaraj subsequently forayed in the film industry and made his directorial debut with Ranga S.S.L.C (2004), and eventually rose to fame with his venture Mungaru Male (2006), which turned out to be one of the highest-grossing films in the history of Kannada cinema. Known for bringing in a new wave of freshness in Kannada cinema, Yogaraj is also noted for introducing fresh talent - be it technicians or artists in the Kannada film industry. His most notable film credits include Manasaare (2009), Parmathma (2011), Drama (2012) and Mugule Nage, a Kannada romantic comedy film starring Ganesh, Apoorva Arora, Nikitha Narayan, Ashika Ranganath, Achyuth Kumar and Ananth Nag. His 2019 releases include Bell Bottom, directed by Jayatheertha and Panchatantra.
