Yugabharathi is a renowned Tamil poet and lyricist who works primarily in the Tamil industry. Having started his career as a poet, he wrote poems for a magazine under the pen name Yugabharathi, in the honor of the erstwhile legendary Tamil poet Subramanya Bharati. He made his debut in the film industry as a lyricist with the super hit film Aanandham (2001) where he penned down the lyrics for the song `Pallankuzhiyin vattam parthen.` Over the years, he has written lyrics for more than 1000 songs and few of his most notable film associations include Run (2002), Ghilli (2004), Chandramukhi (2005), Pasanga (2009), Kumki (2012), Maan Karate (2014), Rajini Murugan (2016) and Gemini.
