An engineer by choice and an actor by chance, Yuvaraj bagged his first role in the Kannada movie Asthitva (2016) after he uploaded his picture on Facebook. Yuvaraj, who was initially working as a software engineer, was a regular participant in cultural events during his college days. He was also part of Kalaniketan, a campus theatre group, which eventually helped him get rid of is stage fright. However, it was only in 2013 that his boss, Vishwa Cariappa, who had already produced Auto Raja (2013) starring Ganesh, spotted his picture uploaded on Facebook and later offered him a lead role in the movie Asthitva.

Yuvaraj banked upon the opportunity and took acting lessons under Usha Bhandari and later under the director of the movie, Nutan Umesh. He changed his lifestyle completely in preparation towards the role and got under the skin of the character. Yuvaraj's hard work for the role paid off after the movie released to positive reviews at the box office.

In 2017, the software engineer-turned-actor appeared in his second movie Jindaa alongside Meghana Raj. His 2018 release includes the action-thriller Premigalige MMCH, directed by Mussanje Mahesh.
