An Australian Film Institute Award for Readers` Choice Award nominee, Zareh Nalbandian is a film producer and a visual effects artists from Australia. A passionate photographer, Nalbandian after working extensively as a photographer and visual effects artist in film, in 1991 co-founded Animal Logic with the intention to build and provide a platform to the aspiring designers, animators, and developers from around the world to explore the opportunities in the animation and visual effects field.

Nalbandian who is committed to building a successful and globally competitive digital production industry in Australia has collaborated with several leading digital production companies and directors from around the world and has created an impressive portfolio of feature films and TV series`.

Having started his career in the film industry as a visual effects producer with the super hit film, The Matrix in 1999, over the years, in his illustrious career Nalbandian has worked as a visual effects director and producer in more than 20 films including the Academy Award-winning film, Happy Feet. The film was the first computer-generated animated feature film to be made completely in Australia. Some of most notable film credits as a visual artist producer and/or director include Moulin Rouge! (2001), Swimming Upstream (2003), Stealth (2005), Australia (2008), and The Great Gatsby (2013).

The visual effects artist-turned-film producer made his production debut with the Legends of the Guardians: The Owls of Ga`Hoole in 2010. His other notable production ventures include The Lego Movie (2014), The LEGO Batman Movie (2017) and Peter Rabbit (2018), an animation adventure comedy directed by Will Gluck. His 2021 release includes Peter Rabbit 2: The Runaway, directed by Will Gluck.
