Zoe Kazan is an American film, television and stage actress and screenwriter. She made her acting debut in the 2003 film Swordswallowers and Thin Men, and has since appeared in lead roles in acclaimed films like The Exploding Girl (2009), Happythankyoumoreplease (2010), Ruby Sparks (2012), What If (2013) and The Big Sick (2017). She is also a seasoned theatre artist, and has penned plays like Absalom, We Live Here and Trudy and Max in Love besides acting in several. Notable television credits include Medium, Bored to Death and Olive Kitteridge. Other significant film credits include The Savages (2007), Revolutionary Road (2008), The Private Lives of Pippa Lee (2009) and Our Brand is Crisis (2015). For her performance in the drama film The Exploding Girl, Kazan won the Best Actress Award at the Tribeca Film Festival in 2009.
