About The Event
Sigamani is a hilarious comedy that follows the chaotic life of a jobless man named Sigamani. Desperate to see him settled, Sigamani's father sends him to Madurai for work, but Sigamani abandons the job and returns home instead. Things take an unexpected turn when Kaveri and her brother, Mayilpandian, arrive at his house, claiming that Sigamani married Kaveri and left her stranded.
Fortunately, a stroke of good fortune turns things around when Sigamani receives the blessings of the "God of Luck." Capitalizing on an uncanny resemblance, Mayilpandian convinces Sigamani to impersonate MLA Pattabi in exchange for a handsome sum of money. Sigamani accepts the lucrative offer, but his political stint is cut short when the Legislative Assembly is suddenly dissolved by the Governor. Ultimately, after a series of wild misadventures, the story concludes on a happy note as Sigamani finally marries Kaveri.
