"27 Seconds" is a stage adaptation of Salman Rushdie's memoir "Knife: Meditations After an Attempted Murder," his deeply personal account of surviving the 2022 stabbing attack and the long process of physical and emotional recovery. It is also a remarkable examination of love and memory, of the role of art and the importance of freedom of expression, and of what it is to be human, from one of the great writers of this age.
