About The Event
The play starts with a murder. The victim is the enormously rich old heiress Emily French. All evidence points to the prime suspect, Leonard Vole, who stands to benefit most from the murder. However, Leonard claims that he is innocent and hopes that his enigmatic wife, Romaine Vole, can help prove his innocence. But as the trial unfolds and witnesses give their statements, loyalties are tested, secrets emerge, and nothing is quite as it seems.
