AKS TAMASHA

The Sutradhar narrates the story of Shivpur, where Queen Mayawati seeks to protect her son Shivnath from a prophecy of death or renunciation. Advised to marry him early and prevent him from seeing his reflection, she arranges his marriage. However, the prince becomes obsessed with a mysterious “image” he believes is his ideal love. Through magical events, he splits himself, leading to the emergence of a serpent symbolizing his other self. Confusion, deception, and tragedy follow, involving Shampa, the queen, and others. In the end, the prince realizes the serpent is part of himself and chooses death, accepting his divided identity.
