About The Event
Told through puppets and the poetry of everyday objects, "Am I Lost?" is a show based on the performer's experience as a street child. The show follows the journey of Safar, a 10-year-old boy from a small village in Jharkhand, who runs away to Delhi dreaming of chocolates, toys, and city life. But the big city is far from kind. Safar is soon trapped in bonded labour on a farm for three long years. Desperate but determined, he escapes to Delhi again, where a stranger's simple question changes the course of his life. Rescued and moved to a shelter for many others like him, Safar finally feels safe again. Here, he discovers his passion for storytelling. As he grows older, he finds his way back to his village, only to find his home a crumbling husk. Determined to make something of himself, he heads back to Delhi, not as a lost boy, but as a storyteller ready to shape his own ending.
