About The Event
Andhon Ka Haathi by Sharad Joshi is a popular Hindi satirical comedy play that criticizes politics, bureaucracy, and society. Five blind men touch different parts of an elephant and argue based on their limited understanding. The elephant symbolizes social problems, while the blind men represent politicians and intellectuals. The Sutradhar represents common people.
The play shows how leaders fail to understand problems completely and focus only on their own views. In the extended version, the play also explains the importance of the elephant and gives educational insights into the economic system, while remaining entertaining throughout.
