Conceptualised and produced by versatile voice actor Prasad Phanse, this specially curated theatrical reading brings together excerpts from Paranjpye’s plays, film scripts, short stories, and essays in her inimitable style — blending satire, sharp observation, humour, and tender social commentary.
From the understated charm of ‘Chashme Buddoor’ and ‘Katha’ to the deeply humane reflections of ‘Sparsh’ and ‘Disha’, the evening revisits some of her most beloved creative worlds through live narration and performance.
Having begun her journey as a presenter with All India Radio, Poona, Paranjpye was awarded the Padma Bhushan in 1986. Through ‘Darwal’, she returns to the mic after more than two decades, rekindling her voice with theatrical flair in an intimate presentation that bridges literature, theatre, and cinema.
