About The Event
This is the story of Lallu, a washerman addicted to alcohol, whose excessive drinking leads to constant quarrels with his wife Tara, and even to him beating her. Tara vows that if the chance ever comes, she will take her revenge.
Meanwhile, Don Mehra's daughter Lily has gone mute. Despite consulting many doctors, she remains uncured, so Don Mehra sends two of his disciples to find someone who can treat her. The disciples happen to run into Tara, and upon learning they're searching for a doctor, Tara sees her chance for revenge. She tells them that the man in her life is indeed a doctor, though he insists he's merely a washerman, unless beaten thoroughly first. True to her word, the disciples beat Lallu until he "confesses" to being a doctor, then whisk him away to Don Mehra to treat Lily.
What follows is a hilarious series of misadventures as washerman-turned-doctor Lallu attempts to cure Lily, delivering non-stop laughs for the audience.
