Ek Aur Dronacharya by Shankar Shesh is a powerful play about integrity, compromise, and the price of survival.
Arvind, a principled college professor, finds himself caught between doing what is right and protecting the life he has built for himself and his family. When an act of injustice puts his career and security at risk, he is forced to make a choice. What begins as a seemingly small compromise slowly pulls him deeper into a system he once stood against.
Running parallel to Arvind`s journey is the story of Dronacharya from the Mahabharata, a man who, faced with poverty, power, duty and personal ambition, makes choices that gradually distance him from the principles he once believed in.
As the two stories begin to mirror each other, the play asks a deeply uncomfortable question:
How much can we compromise before we become the very thing we once opposed?
A contemporary exploration of morality, power and the choices we justify in the name of family, security and survival.
Ek Aur Dronacharya is not about good people versus bad people. It is about the choices ordinary people make when doing the right thing comes at a price.
