Glorious Misfits, A Clown Workshop for Grown Ups (Bengaluru Edition)
This is one continuous workshop across both weekends, not two separate sessions. Please plan to attend all four mornings (Sept 19, 20, 26 & 27) for the full experience.
Glorious Misfits is a clown workshop for adults. Not performance training, just taking a break from making sense and discovering another side of you. The kind your body remembers from before life turned into a list of deliverables.
Over four mornings, spread across two weekends, we work with improvisation, play, failure, and the red nose, the smallest mask in the world that unmasks the most.
No experience needed. You do not need to be funny, or want to perform. You just need to be willing to set the work self down for a few mornings.

Facilitator: Sukhmani Kohli, Purple Mangoes
Sukhmani is a clown performer, theatre maker, and facilitator based in India, with over 18 years of experience in playful, community rooted performance. Her practice brings together red nose clowning, physical theatre, and devised ensemble work to explore big themes like grief, joy, identity, and belonging, with a generous dose of laughter, lightness, and mischief.
She believes that silliness can be sacred, and that giggles can hold space for healing. Through her performances and workshops, Sukhmani invites people into joyful, surprising spaces where connection, courage, and creativity can flourish. She has taught and performed widely across India and internationally, directed devised shows, and collaborated with Clowns Without Borders, USA, Clown Spirit, HsHs Clowns, Egypt and many others. She has taught clowning at institutions like National School of Drama (NSD), Tripura and Srishti Manipal School of Art and Design, Bengaluru.
As the founder of Purple Mangoes, Sukhmani curates playful worlds where people can be their truest, weirdest selves, while tackling serious stuff with humour, heart, and a whole lot of clown logic.
