About The Event
INT Aditya Birla Performing Arts Academy presents Gujarati Medium vs English Medium.
In Heaven, the legendary Gujarati teacher Saraswatiben is honored as the "Best Citizen of Heaven." Her happiness fades when she learns that her beloved college on Earth is slowly forgetting Gujarati, with English-medium students drifting away from their mother tongue.
To revive the language, the principal announces Vishwa Gujarati Diwas and assigns the celebration to the English-medium students. Their preparations turn into hilarious chaos, revealing how disconnected everyone has become from Gujarati.
Just when all seems lost, Narad Muni brings Saraswatiben to Earth for a day. With humor, warmth, and wisdom, she introduces the students to the timeless works of Narsinh Mehta, Umashankar Joshi, Zaverchand Meghani, and Narmad, helping them rediscover the beauty and pride of their language.
As the college comes together to celebrate Gujarati, the play leaves the audience with a simple yet powerful message:
It's not Gujarati Medium vs English Medium—it's about never forgetting the language and culture that gave us our voice.
