The essence of the play is known from a question that emerges from the author's pen,  & Who is poor?

The one who keeps showing the documents to be poor, or the one who has no record of his presence? The existence of Punglya, a young man belonging to the hunter-gathering. Faseparadhi tribe, has not been documented. A mysterious bird never seen by man gets caught in his net. This is a wonderful story of two souls who exist but remain invisible.

I am Punglya Sharukya Agimahul" is the story of a couple who started their life on an open field. The drama depicts the unbreakable love between 'Punglya' and his wife 'Matalbi' in the Fasepardhi community, their struggle, rebellion and humanity. This play is a battle for survival. The stamp given to the Fase Pardhi community by the British as thieves and robbers still remains on them. The other societies are not yet ready to accept that 'man' lives in this settlement. There is not a written proof of the existence of the hero of the story. So his hands are out of work. A bird gets stuck in his cage. This bird has never been seen before. The hero realizes how miserable and useless he is when he sees the bird watcher who comes to record the and do some research about the unidentified bird. This is the story of every warrior who has lost his existence and fought a great battle for it.
