About The Event
Ravi and Charkha, two unmarried friends, struggle to find a rented house in Delhi because landlords refuse to accommodate bachelors. Desperate for a place to stay, they deceive their landlady, Ms. D'Costa, by claiming that Ravi is married and that his wife will join him within a few days.
A month passes, but no wife appears. Growing suspicious, Ms. D'Costa gives them a two-day eviction notice. Just when all hope seems lost, Ishwar—a talented Ramlila actor who has famously portrayed the role of Sita six times in his village productions—arrives unexpectedly. Ravi and Charkha persuade him to disguise himself as Ravi's wife, "Aishwarya," to fool the landlady.
What begins as a simple lie soon spirals into a whirlwind of hilarious misunderstandings. Dilbagh Singh, an eccentric film producer, is so impressed with "Aishwarya" that he offers her a role in his next film. Meanwhile, Ravi's father, Shyam Sunder, arrives from the village hoping to meet his daughter-in-law, only to unexpectedly fall in love with Ms. D'Costa. To add to the confusion, Shikha and Shekhar also arrive from the village for their own marriage, further complicating the already chaotic situation.
The comedy reaches its peak when Ishwar, still living as "Aishwarya," receives the astonishing news that "she" is going to become a mother!
Packed with mistaken identities, witty situations, unexpected romance, and nonstop laughter, this fast-paced comedy celebrates friendship, improvisation, and the absurd consequences of one small lie that grows completely out of control.
