About The Event
"Kabuliwala," is a stage play adaptation of a poignant short story by Rabindranath Tagore, explores the deep, tender bond between a bustling five-year-old Bengali girl named Mini and Rahmat, a homesick Afghan dry-fruit seller. Rahmat, seeing his own distant daughter in Mini, befriends her, but is later imprisoned for stabbing a customer over a debt. Upon his release years later, Rahmat returns to find a grown-up, married Mini who has forgotten him, highlighting the themes of tender, universal paternal love and the inevitable passage of time.
