Kaddu is a poignant, tender play about a young woman searching for her identity, desires and freedom within the quiet expectations of everyday life.
Raised in a traditional household where women are conditioned to sacrifice and adjust, she moves to Mumbai after marriage, hoping the city will grant her the freedom she has always dreamed of Instead, she enters a new world of quiet compromises, where her sense of self slowly fades beneath domestic responsibilities.
Kaddu explores how patriarchy operates subtly- not just through confrontation, but through emotional labor, daily rituals, and generational patterns passed down in the name of love.
Through one woman's quiet awakening, Kaddu asks When a woman spends her life fulfilling everyone else's expectations, will she ever be able to choose herself ?
