About The Event
The play "Level Up" revolves around a teenage girl named Ritika, whose mother has recently passed away. Consumed by profound grief, she has withdrawn from the world. Her friends are trying to help her move past this, but she remains unresponsive to all their efforts.
One day, she is suddenly pulled into the world of a video game called "Sanzu." To escape, she must complete the challenge of clearing four distinct levels. Each level offers her a renewed sense of hope for life. Through this game, she comes to realize that one must take the initiative to overcome stress and only then can those close to us truly help us find a way out. She realizes that if one faces seemingly massive challenges without fear, they can end up appearing quite trivial. Through all of this, she learns how to find joy even in small, everyday moments.
Considering the mindset and mental health of today`s adolescents, this play proves to be highly significant. Young people today are easily overwhelmed by issues like stress, depression, and a sense of despondency. A primary factor contributing to this is the dwindling state of direct, face-to-face human interaction. As a result, this generation has lost the very belief that one can overcome crises by talking to others and engaging in dialogue. Given how these children often remain immersed in their own worlds of fantasy, the play "Level Up" draws upon that same imaginative realm - using the children`s own language - to help them regain this lost sense of confidence.
The events and scenes presented in the play will undoubtedly offer the audience - especially adolescents - a new way to think positively.
