Maarikaadu is an intimate theatre production inspired by William Shakespeare's Macbeth and adapted by renowned Kannada playwright Chandrashekhara Kambara.
Within every human being lies an unseen forest of desires, dreams, ambition and power. What happens when invisible forces begin shaping our thoughts, choices and actions? As one decision leads to another, we become trapped in a cycle of ambition, guilt and consequence.
Kambara's adaptation reimagines Macbeth through a distinct dramatic landscape where the mysterious Maaris and the Queen influence the course of events. The story explores the invisible forces that govern human desire, manipulation and destiny.
