Aparajito presents The Great Indian Theatre Festival, What's Done is Done, an adaptation of William Shakespeare's Macbeth, directed by Rajat Kapoor, featuring Ranvir Shorey, Vinay Pathak, Mantra (Puranjeet Dasgupta), Chandrachur Rai, and others.
Macbeth: What's Done is Done is about greed, ambition, and guilt.
Julio (Vinay Pathak) and Pedro (Mantra, aka Puranjeet Dasgupta) draw you into the world of Macbeth, or Macky B (Ranvir Shorey), and Lady Macbeth, an adaptation of Macbeth and his lady. Macky B is a good, honest man, a brave soldier, and a loyal friend. Macky B and his friend Banquo set out on an adventure in the forest, where they meet three witches who give them three impending prophecies, for whom "fair is foul, and foul is fair." After that, the perception of Macky B is "stars, hide your fires, let not light see my black and deep desires." Vinay Pathak and Mantra make it a scary, clownish affair: "by the pricking of my thumbs, something wicked this way comes."
The audience becomes the fellow citizens of the then-filthy Scotland, where you will live with Macky B and his lady. Beware, as they "look like the innocent flower, but be the serpent under it."
