About The Event
Taking on the age-old question, “What’s in a name?”, director Jaimini Pathak and actor Manjiri Pupala explore love, memory and relationships through an intimate solo performance.
“Manjiri, what a beautiful name! How did your parents come up with that?” A seemingly simple question becomes the starting point for a deeply personal exploration of identity, memory and relationships.
Written and performed by acclaimed actor and theatre practitioner Manjiri Pupala, the solo piece delves into her relationship with her father while reflecting on companionship, love and the many bonds that shape us. At its heart lies a question that feels increasingly relevant today: do we still understand the true meaning of love?
Directed by Jaimini Pathak, known for bringing nuance and emotional depth to intimate narratives, the performance looks back at Shakespeare’s age-old question, “What’s in a name?”, only to suggest that perhaps, there is a lot in a name after all.
