About The Event
The Master Builder Presented by Bahroop Arts Group, New Delhi
Celebrating 30 years of commitment to meaningful theatre, Bahroop Arts Group presents Master Builder a contemporary Urdu adaptation of Henrik Ibsen`s celebrated classic The Master Builder. Adapted by Dr. Faiyaz Ahmed, with sharp dialogues by Arvind Alok and direction by Suman Kumar, the production brings Ibsen`s timeless story into a modern Indian urban setting.
The play explores professional ambition, generational conflict between Gen Z and established legends, existential guilt, and the psychological price of success. Its rich Hindustani/Urdu prose gives the work literary depth, while its themes of mental health, corporate ambition, and human resilience speak directly to today`s audiences.
The staging combines powerful acting, physical movement, live or recorded music, and striking visual design to create an immersive experience. It is a production for long-time theatre lovers and first-time audiences alike.
