About The Event
Inspired by the ancient Indian myth of Manu and the fish.
Mia and her sister arrive on unfamiliar shores as war and climate refugees. Against the backdrop of a freak winter heatwave and a looming climate emergency, we see the consequences of relentless exploitation and of capitalism pushed to its edge. Amidst all this, Mia finds something gentle, profound and revolutionary: friendship, as she nurtures a tiny talking fish named Samaki. As Samaki grows into a giant key to the survival of Mia and her friends, the story shifts from a struggle against extinction to a testament of shared hope.
