Natranga presents a new play "Neeragannadi" by K. Y. Narayanaswamy, Directed by B Suresh.
It is a powerful play that explores justice, identity, honour, and female resilience. The story begins with mystical Jyothis (lights) who sense an impending tragedy and enact a play to reveal the truth. At its centre is a young bride whose wedding is halted when her groom, Veera Kumara, is called for war. Abandoned and humiliated, she is encouraged by the "Jyothis" to claim her rightful place as his wife. It sets off a series of events that mirrors the happenings in every society.
