About The Event
OFFSIDE is a multilingual theatre production from Theatre Flamingo, rooted in contemporary Goan life and staged in an intimate, site-responsive performance style.
In a Goan village where football is worshipped and electricity disappears without warning, Dummingo works as a wireman, fixing power for other people while living in darkness himself. He once dreamed of playing football professionally. Years of labour, hierarchy and survival have pushed him into a life he never imagined. As conflict at work and failure at home begin to collide, Dummingo is pulled into a world where dignity, corruption and survival become impossible to separate.
Blending realism, dark humour and sharp social observation, OFFSIDE looks at how hierarchy quietly enters everyday life, through work, relationships, institutions and even love. Football, family, labour and power collide inside a house slowly running out of light.
First performed in Panaji in May 2026 to a full house, OFFSIDE continues to tour intimate cultural and heritage spaces.
