Poli Kitti is one of T P Kailasam's most popular dramas. Set in pre independence Bengaluru. it uses the social structure of colonial Bengaluru and its key areas to bring out the problems of the time.
Kitti or Krishna Rao, is a school drop out teenager, who had to drop out of school due to drastic circumstances to support his ailing family. This hardens his outlook. He, being still a kid also bullys the local boy scouts who are significantly younger than him into giving him their snacks and treats.
The boys devise, that their only escape from Kitti's bullying is by luring him into becoming a scout where the Scout Master would bring him in line. What follows is a comedy journey that shapes Kitti's personality and chisels the gem out of him.
