About The Event
Popcorn is a thought-provoking play by Samagam Rang Mandal, Jabalpur, that explores the importance of human values, ethics and inner development in society.
The play raises an important question: While everyone thinks about building a strong economy and ensuring good governance, who thinks about creating good human beings?
It reflects on how no system of governance, whether capitalism, socialism, democracy or monarchy, can succeed without individuals possessing moral integrity, sensitivity and strong ethical values. Highlighting the growing importance given to economics over ethics, the play emphasises the need for a more compassionate, responsible and value-driven society.
