Ram: The Musical Saga
From the makers of Humare Ram, the world’s most loved theatrical production, comes Ram: The Musical Saga — a spectacular Broadway-inspired musical that brings the timeless Ram Katha to life through the voices of India’s celebrated musical legends, including Sonu Nigam, Shankar Mahadevan, Hariharan, Kailash Kher, Surabhi Tiwari, and many more. Their soul-stirring music becomes the voice of the epic, carrying audiences through its moments of love, devotion, valor, sacrifice, and destiny. With over 100 dancers, breathtaking visuals and grand musical sequences, this is the Ramayana experienced on an extraordinary theatrical scale.
But what made Shree Ram who he was? Beyond the familiar victories and epic battles lie untold stories of sacrifice, unconditional love, duty and devotion. What shaped Maryada Purushottam Shree Ram? What sacrifices lay behind his greatness? What were the moments that tested his character and defined his destiny? RAM – The Musical Saga journeys beyond the familiar narrative to explore the untold and unsaid chapters of the Ramayana, revealing the relationships, choices and sacrifices that made Shree Ram an eternal ideal.
Witness Arav Chowdharry in a powerful portrayal of Lord Parshuram, confronting a young Ram in the dramatic, lesser-explored encounter at Sita Swayamvar — a moment charged with tension, destiny and the awakening of a greater purpose. Then watch him transform into Ravan, bringing an entirely different demeanor and intensity to the formidable king of Lanka. Through these contrasting roles, two of the epic’s most commanding figures emerge in all their complexity.
For the first time, Sujay Reu, the much-loved face of Shree Ram on television, takes the stage as Prabhu Shree Ram, bringing audiences closer to the journey of Maryada Purushottam. Through his portrayal, discover the love, compassion, restraint and extraordinary sacrifices behind the divine figure — the man whose unwavering commitment to dharma shaped his legacy for generations.
Joining this journey is Nirbhay Wadhwa, beloved by television audiences for his portrayal of Hanuman, bringing to life the unmatched devotion, strength and surrender of Ram’s greatest devotee. The sacred bond between Ram and Hanuman becomes a celebration of faith and selfless service, while the eternal love of Sita and Ram and the divine connection of Shiv and Parvati open windows into the deeper emotional and spiritual world of the Ramayana.
What sets Ram: The Musical Saga apart is its coming together of epic storytelling, live theatrical grandeur and the power of music. Rather than merely accompanying the narrative, the music carries the Ram Katha itself. The voices of legendary singers breathe life into its emotions — from the tenderness of love and the serenity of devotion to the thunder of battle and the ache of separation. Every melody becomes part of the storytelling, every performance deepens the drama, and every musical sequence draws audiences further into the world of the epic.
Presented in a spectacular Broadway-inspired format, the production combines immersive visuals, dynamic choreography, more than 100 dancers, and magnificent stagecraft to transport audiences from the splendour of Ayodhya to the divine realms and the intensity of epic confrontations. It is a world where mythology meets the scale of musical theatre, and timeless stories unfold through a fusion of music, movement, and dramatic performance.
Produced by Felicity Theatre Charitable Organisation, directed by Rahull R. Bhuchar, with lyrics by Alok Srivastava and written by Shakti Shashank Sundaram, Ram: The Musical Saga invites audiences to rediscover the Ramayana — not simply as a story they know, but as an experience they can see, hear and feel anew.
