About The Event

SYNOPSIS

Seen through the eyes of his young assistant, Ken, RED offers an intimate glimpse into the life of renowned painter Mark Rothko at the height of his artistic career, as he wrestles with the creation of a series of monumental works known as the Seagram Murals, commissioned for New York`s newly opened Four Seasons Restaurant.

As the two artists work side by side, their conversations evolve into profound explorations of art and its purpose. They question who art is created for, what defines a truly great artist, and whether one can preserve artistic integrity in the face of fame, wealth, and success.

Set in the 1950s and inspired by real events, RED is a compelling exploration of the complex and ever-evolving relationship between an artist and his work, delving into the tensions between ambition, legacy, and creative truth.
